My Knitting Heros - 3KCBWDAY3

Well I had to give this one a bit of thought, hero, inspiring person, that was a hard one.
As far a designers go I'm really into Heidi Kirrmaier at the moment. I've knit one of her designs with lots more in my must knit list. This lightweight cardigan is pattern called Summer Solstice and is completely seamless with each piece being picked up from the one just finished, so that it just grows into this wonderful cardigan. I wear this everywhere and may just have to make another one.

My other favorite is Ankestrick, her work is simple and modern yet still an interesting knit. This pattern is called November10 and it is a wonderful seamless, top-down jumper.
I wear this jumper all the time, I just love it.

I guess the people who inspire me the most are the wonderful knitters who come up with incredible designs then give them away for free.  When I first joined Ravelry I couldn't believe just how many amazing patterns were available at no cost. I used this wonderful pattern, 'In The Pink' for my first foray into knitting lace and was astounded that someone can think up something so wonderful and complex and then be generous enough to give it away.

So yes that is who inspires me the most, the generous, talented knitters and designers who are willing to pass on the yarn love and share.
