Spring Fair

I decided it would be a good idea to donate a shawl to the silent auction at our schools Spring Fair, only problem was, I had to find time to knit it!
Well I managed to finish it and here it is.

I could have gone for a nice safe colour that would appeal to lots of people, but this yarn made me think of Spring, so apple green it is.  It's a lovely blend of cotton and silk so works really well in our warm spring weather.

It's a Ravelry pattern called 'Girl's Best Friend' and I really love the way it turned out.  I didn't make any changes except that I added a small garter stitch border before casting off.

  1. I followed you over from the Maidenhair Tree and I'm so glad I did - what an exquisite shawl. The perfect green. Whoever has it now, I'm jealous!

  2. @anna
Thank you so much Anna, I'm not sure who got it on the day but hopefully I'll get to see it on someone soon.
