Spring Fair
I decided it would be a good idea to donate a shawl to the silent auction at our schools Spring Fair, only problem was, I had to find time to knit it!
Well I managed to finish it and here it is.
I could have gone for a nice safe colour that would appeal to lots of people, but this yarn made me think of Spring, so apple green it is. It's a lovely blend of cotton and silk so works really well in our warm spring weather.
It's a Ravelry pattern called 'Girl's Best Friend' and I really love the way it turned out. I didn't make any changes except that I added a small garter stitch border before casting off.

I followed you over from the Maidenhair Tree and I'm so glad I did - what an exquisite shawl. The perfect green. Whoever has it now, I'm jealous!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Anna, I'm not sure who got it on the day but hopefully I'll get to see it on someone soon.
